with Ashley Hagen

Virtual Vinyasa Academy is an online course that includes a 12 weeks of group coaching, for current and new yoga teachers looking to gain the confidence and skills to make money doing what they love in a digital world (teaching yoga!).

Due to the live coaching component, space IS limited.

Registration ends Monday, October 5. 😉🎉🧘🏻‍♀️

We officially begin Sunday, October 11.

Yes, you can teach yoga online.

Better yet, you can build a yoga business that you love from HOME.

(Hint: That’s exactly what I help you do inside Virtual Vinyasa Academy. )

VVA includes a 12-week coaching program and lifetime access to our online academy for those who are ready to go beyond YTT and make an impact and make money by starting an online yoga business.

Who is ideal for

Virtual Vinyasa

Virtual Vinyasa Academy is ideal for three types of people:

1. Experienced Yoga Teachers who need help transitioning from in-person studio classes to the world of online yoga teaching, and create additional or supplemental income.

2. New Yoga Teachers who are serious about starting a successful and profitable yoga teaching business, and don’t have a lot of time to waste.

3. Yoga Teacher Trainees who are working towards their YTT certification and need extra support and accountability to get out and actually teach their first yoga class and build their own brand.

So, whether you’re and experienced yoga teacher or a teacher in the making, you’ll be right at home in this program.

Who is NOT ideal for

Virtual Vinyasa

Virtual Vinyasa Academy is not ideal for you if:

You are approaching yoga teaching as a hobby and not actually looking to earn money teaching yoga. If you’re just dabbling or wanting a deeper dive in yoga philosophy and history as just a student, Virtual Vinyasa Academy might not be the right fit for you.

To be clear, you do not need to be an experienced yoga teacher or have a big audience to be a good fit for Virtual Vinyasa Academy.

However, you do need commitment with serious goals in mind.

In the back of my mind, I have always thought that I would do some sort of online yoga offering and I wasn’t sure how to begin. Ashley’s VVA program has helped me discover my online niche, gain clarity and begin to develop my yoga business. The biggest shift for me was learning about digital course creation, which was something that I had never really thought about. I highly recommend Ashley’s VVA, she offers incredible value, continuous mentorship, tech help and so much more all at an affordable price point. It’s the best business development program that I have ever taken.

Yoga Teacher, VVA Member

Essentially, if you’re committed to your success as a yoga teacher and want the fast-track to getting started with teaching yoga online, Virtual Vinyasa Academy is for you.

I have been so impressed with VVA and the level of support and attention that Ashley gives to all members. There are so many things that I have learned from her that I didn’t even know I needed to know. I think, above all, I have learned that you can learn the technical skills, but the accountability of a group going through the same things as you are, as you start your business, is just so important to your development as a YT and business owner.

“How does Virtual Vinyasa Academy work?”

If you’ve read this far and you don’t know me, hi! I’m Ashley.

I’m a yoga teacher, YTT lead trainer, studio owner, online course creator, entrepreneur, and media communications expert.

I graduated from my first YTT in 2013, immediately quit my full-time job and set out to be a full-time yoga teacher.😅 I can’t say the path has been easy, but I’ve learned a thing or two (or 50) that would have seriously helped me in the process.

Using what I’ve learned after years of trial and error in the yoga business world , I’ve packaged up all the tips, tricks and short-cuts into an all-encompassing course. That’s exactly what Virtual Vinyasa Academy is all about.

Ashley’s timeline of events:

2011 – Student athlete, graduated 4.0 with a 4-year degree in Graphic Communications.

2012 – Working full-time as a graphic designer, I started teaching group fitness classes on the side. I also joined an online fitness coaching business & community. This is the year I dove DEEP into personal and professional development.

2013 – Attended 200 hr YTT in Dallas TX and learned to teach power vinyasa yoga. Quit my full-time graphic design job to pursue yoga teaching. This is the year my dad passed away and I realized life is too short to not do what you love.

2015 – Started practicing Ashtanga yoga and attended first of several live Budokon® Yoga trainings.

2016 – Started my online yoga business, investing in business coaching to streamline my growth.

2017 – Co-led my first 200 hr YTT in Fargo, ND.

2018 – Moved across the country to Washington state, and had a baby (totally random). I mention this because I had to start completely over. I also co-led my second 200 hr YTT in Wisconsin when I was 5 months pregnant.

2019 – Purchased a local yoga studio. Led 3rd 200 hr YTT (sold out) on my own.

2020 – Led my 4th YTT (sold out), finished up in June. Studio temporarily shuts down. Moved all classes and offerings online within 24 hours. The year of VIRTUAL VINYASA!

I’ve known since 2016 that I wanted to create a course that helps yoga teachers beyond YTT.

I first set out to do what I teach inside Virtual Vinyasa Academy – I started teaching and selling my yoga classes and workshops online.

I started treating my yoga teaching like a business.

Now, I am able to show you how it’s done, without any fluff.

You get the technical and tactical tips and how-to’s to building and growing an online yoga business.

What’s inside the course?

Module 1: Yoga Business Clarity

The first of 7 modules covers gaining clarity in your yoga business. Video lessons and workbooks will guide you through defining your niche, goal setting and how to create a yoga business plan.

Module 2: Live-Stream Mastery

Where you go after module 1 is up to you. You can pick what you need to learn. Most yoga teachers are coming in lacking confidence in online teaching so the next 2 modules cover video production and camera confidence. Module 2 sets you up to teach live-streaming virtual classes and how to build a yoga video membership or subscription site for recurring revenue.

Module 3: YouTube for Yogis

Module 3 is all about YouTube basics. You will learn how to set up a YouTube channel and you’ll be guided into a 4-part video challenge series of lessons. Within this module, we also cover how to leverage affiliate marketing, or referral income, to earn money at all hours of the day.

Module 4: Business Basics

Covering essential online tools, intro to LLC, insurance, waivers, music licensing, and more, module 4 is a business basics overview. You’ll also learn about my favorite tools for organization and time management.

Module 5: Build a Website

I go a bit over-kill in this module. In module 5, I show you the step-by-step how to set up a self-hosted WordPress site. This type of website set-up has the highest learning curve, but is also the mos robust. If you want something simplier, I have options for you to do that, too. ***You do NOT need a website to succeed at online yoga teaching.

Module 6: Course Creation Basics

Online courses are all the rage. In fact, it’s how I’ve sustained my yoga studio (and sanity) during this pandemic. In this module, I give you course creation basics starting with creating a freebie to build your email list of potential students/customer, a template for a sales page, and how to actually create the course.

Module 7: Marketing & Social Media

Lessons include: Starter social media posts, social meida posts beyong tips & tricks, stock photo site recommendations, intro to Facebook, intro to Instagram, and email marketing basics.
